Our mailing list (reflector) is open to all members of the NCARC. Any interested Amateur Radio operator may join but list discussion(s) is limited to club activities or matters affecting amateurs in the Northern Colorado area. Your email to one address, and your email is broadcast to all the members on the list.
Examples of acceptable postings are (but not limited to):
- Anything NCARC Related
- Technical discussion(s) about any aspect of amateur radio
- Announcements of help needed to staff events we support, such as Fort Collins Marathon
- VE Test announcements
- Repeater service announcements
- Requests by members for help (tower setups for example)
- Equipment buy and sell ads will be allowed, BUT NO COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY.
Think of this service as just another "amateur radio band" anything permissible on a repeater, or an HF frequency is fair game.
Rick Huebner WØRCY says (Sep-25-2003 & May-3-2004) to subscribe to the mailing list:
I went to the ncarc page at http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/ncarc and filled out the form with a password, giving it my email address. Then I replied to the email that was sent to me and I'm in.
Later, to change my email address, I used the configuration window address that I was given,
http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/options/ncarc/w0rcy%40comcast.net (@ is represented by %40) and changed it to my old email address:http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/options/ncarc/w0rcy%40attbi.com.
This goes to my account that the system set up recently, so I clicked "email my password to me." This gave me the password that was assigned to me and I was able to use that to unsubscribe my old address.
